DBDocuments Review – edit, manage documents from a database centric application
Review Of DBDocuments
What a great idea store, edit, and manage your documents from a database centric application. That is exactly what DBDocuments can do.
DBDocuments has a lot of advanced features, one look at the status bar will give you a host of information. The program has all the features you would expect to find in a more expensive word processing program.
From the file tab you can create a new rich text document or import popular document formats like .doc, .docx, .odt, .html, .txt, .epub, .csv, .tmp files. Students would benefit from the (.ePub) electronic publisher import method, because they could save a bundle of money they would not need to purchase a kindle or similar device to read electronic books. They could use DBDocuments to complete homework assignments and read books too. Converting a document of any type to PDF format is straight forward, when you click the button you are prompted to save the PDF version of the document, to a folder of your choice and the program handles the rest. I thought this feature really made the program worth buying because you don’t need any technical experience to convert a document.
From the edit tab, you can align your text, insert bullets, number lists, or multi-level lists. There is a find and replace feature that will help you locate and replace text in the document. The font tab, has every font option you could possibly want including text highlighting where you can choose the highlight color.
The page layout tab allows you to set the margins, paper orientation, paper size, define the number of columns, create page breaks, or insert line numbers if you are creating a document requiring line numbers, pretty cool.
From the view tab, you can split the document, to view other areas of the document. Each section scrolls separately so you can look at text in one area and compare the text in another area. The word count dialog displays the number of characters, words, or you can search for the number of occurrences of a certain word or phrase. That is a really neat feature.
From the insert tab, you can easily insert pages, images, tables, bookmarks, hyperlinks, There is also a dialog where you can select a symbol of any type to insert into your document. If you were creating articles, then you could really benefit from any of those features. From the review tab, you can spell check your document or even protect the document or a range on the document by entering a password. This comes in handy if you share the program with someone and you don’t want them to change your document without your permission.
You can also change the DBDocuments program theme to suit your taste, just select one of the theme’s from the theme drop down list and the program is changed in an instant. This program is well thought out, down to the right click menu to perform popular tasks, so you don’t have to keep switching from tab to tab trying to find a menu item.
What makes this DBDocuments program stand out from other word processing programs is the fact that all of your documents are kept in one place. This method makes finding a document very easy to locate and open. When your switching from document to document, the documents open very quickly. I would buy this program before a major corporation does and raises the price.
DBDocuments just updated product from version 184.108.40.206 to version 220.127.116.11.
