Review Of SEO PowerSuite Professional: a complete SEO Package
I’ve been heavily involved in search engine optimization (SEO) lately and realized I needed reliable software to handle the daily SEO routine. I’ve finally found the solution to tackle the majority (if not all) optimization issues – SEO PowerSuite Professional.
SEO PowerSuite by Link-Assistant.Com is a complete SEO package, which consists of four tools: Rank Tracker, SEO SpyGlass, WebSite Auditor and LinkAssistant.
Rank Tracker, as the name implies, checks websites’ rankings in various search engines (730+ SEs are supported) and monitors progress over time. It also does keyword research with 20 keyword research methods. I tried out all of them to get several hundred keyword suggestions, and most of them were relevant. I didn’t have to finalize the list by hand; I used the Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) to sort the huge list. Then I selected 5 keywords from the most promising 18 ones. The job was easy, and the final keyword list seems to be a perfect match.
SEO SpyGlass is a backlink checker, mainly used for competition research. You enter your competitor’s website url and in a couple of minutes get a list of backlinks that make your competitor so strong. What is more, SEO SpyGlass provides detailed data on every backlink: domain and page Google PageRank, social media mentions, the number of links from the page to other websites, title, anchor text. It also calculates the Link Value of every backlink.
Why do you need competition research? The thing is the number and relevance of backlinks is one of the main ranking factors in search engines. With SEO SpyGlass you analyze your competitors’ weak and strong points, and try to get the best backlinks (you know which ones!) as well.
WebSite Auditor deals with on-page optimization issues. It analyzes every page of your website and generates a detailed report. I liked that I got all the problems of my website spotted and reported on in one place: 404 errors, missing titles, validation errors and broken links. In the end, WebSite Auditor generates an ‘optimization blueprint’, which gives you suggestions about changing the title, meta description, keyword placement, bold text. I didn’t find it possible to follow the advice step-by-step in case of the bold text, for example. I preferred to leave the bold text on my home page the way it was because that seemed more convenient for visitors to my website. What I really liked was optimizing the title with this tool because I got the titles of my 10 competitors line by line, and I had some very good ideas at once.
LinkAssistant is the tool for finding backlink partners and managing link-building campaigns. LinkAssistant is probably the only tool in this series I won’t make much use of. The reason for this is that I prefer getting links more naturally, without sending requests to relevant websites in my niche. Still, I tried the tool out, and it works ok, giving very good partner suggestions. To sum it up, if you’ve got a newbie website with few backlinks, use LinkAssistant for a start. It will help your website become more popular and visible in search engines.
Summary of SEO PowerSuite Professional
All the aspects of SEO campaigns are handled with one software package.
SEO PowerSuite is cross-platform (Windows, Linux, Mac OS) and multilingual (English, German, French, Russian, Dutch, Spanish, Slovak) Support is very prompt and helpful
Sometimes it’s hard to understand some specific advanced data generated
Google would occasionally throw out CAPTCHAs when doing keyword research… Ugh! Still, not the fault of software developers, I believe.
