eBook Review Of “Familize Your Group”, Have you ever been Familized?
If you haven’t, then you don’t know what the heck I’m talking about, so here are some random (written) quotes from people who have been Familized:
“Much fun and an eye opener as to how easy it is to Familize.”
“Exercises were fun and could be applied to our work situation.”
“Great networking tool”
“Got to meet people I hadn’t met”
In response to the question, “What did you like best about the session?” people said:
“Lots of interaction”
“Participation by everyone”
“The open communication and interaction!”
Familize Your Group is a book filled with “exercises” that, when used, improve the “getting-to-know-you” process in any group.
Tour groups, resorts, hotels (meeting planners) and cruise ships all have situations that involve many people being thrown together suddenly, for a period of time. To help these people connect, the organizers sometimes shuffle them into a room with drinks and hors d’oeuvres and leave them on their own to “connect”. That’s not a very good way to do it! Most often, the people organizing the meeting just don’t do anything.
Companies, associations and teams have a slightly different problem when they gather together with their members – cliques! Many people in their groups know each other and have for years and therefore tend to hang around together and largely ignore new members. By using some of the exercises in the “Familize Your Group” book, these cliques can be eliminated.
Even families can be helped because the exercises introduce topics for discussion that may not be discussed in normal daily life. (And it is done in a fun way.)
Become a better group leader.
If you can read, you can use these exercises to better your group. The members will thank you for it.
“Familize Your Group” has worked for me many times!
The exercises are so well written, that anyone can lead them. It’s up to you. Do you want to Familize Your Group?
