Review of Ingvar’s newly released “Emotional Marketing Tactics” E-Book
Ingvar has been an active, full-time internet marketer since the dawn of WWW. He’s had his ups and downs, and in the process has learned a lot. These days he operates hundreds of websites and earns his living from the Internet.
About ten years ago he released a successful e-book called “Don’t Sell – Influence and Persuade”. This little e-book on sales tactics got rave reviews and helped lots of people write better sales copy. He conducted dozens of seminars and workshops – including one to the US Navy Recruiters. He’s got “good creds” as they say.
He hasn’t really written much about his strategies – keeping them to himself to stay competitive. We see his name on articles on all sorts of topics on E-Zines – but not much about his marketing tactics.
Until now. His new book “Emotional Marketing Tactics” contains all the material from his previous book, and has been updated with his latest research on WHY PEOPLE BUY. And it’s truly golden information. He takes us through the emotional reasons why people buy stuff. On or off the Internet. He spills it all.
His basic pitch is that “People Buy for Emotional Reasons and Justify with Logic.” We have heard this before of course, but this “Emotional Marketing Tactics” book explains – in some details – how this works, and better still: how to implement it in your marketing/sales material. In a friendly and non-technical way. We like his quote on his website “Nobody Should Be Allowed To Have Anything To Do With Marketing Until They’ve Read This “Emotional Marketing Tactics” Book At Least 7 Times”. And it’s true.
We couldn’t put the book down (close the PDF) and took many notes. We immediately took a serious look at our own site and made tons of changes. His book is obviously written the way he thinks – not exactly a literary masterpiece, but then – the information is golden. And that’s all that counts. Much of the material is true and tried marketing tactics used every day by top marketers to persuade us to buy things and services we may or not need. And there are some really clever tips in the book. Which might just put you ahead of your competitors.
