I was given an Apple iPad by the company I work for, since I am always traveling and lugging a laptop around isn’t as convenient since I like to pack light. Plus an iPad pretty much works like a laptop.

But since I am not much of an Apple fan, I try as much as possible to avoid using iTunes. Not that I am going against them or being negative about it, but I just want software that transfer to AND from iPad and my computer, not just iTunes’ one-way option (computer to iPad).

After searching for a few hours for the perfect iPad-manager software and even asking my colleagues about it, I’ve come across Xilisoft iPad Magic.

It is exactly what it is, it’s Magic!

First of all, Xilisoft iPad Magic transfers songs, videos, podcasts, photos and other files both ways (iPad to PC; PC to iPad). There are some podcasts and music downloads that are not available on iTunes that I download on my iPad. And so if I want to back it up on my laptop, iTunes would wipe it out. So with iPad Magic, I am able to copy the downloaded free music from iPad to laptop!

Plus, you can even sync your files to iTunes, so you need not copy/paste from your root folder to iTunes, Xilisoft iPad Magic will do it for you!

Second, I am able to transfer my favorite DVD movies to my iPad! Now I won’t be bored during airport layovers since I can entertain myself with my favorite DVDs or newly-released movies. Coupled with Pad’s clear LED display and iPad Magic’s high quality ripped-DVD output, watching them on iPad is always a satisfaction.

Third, not only is it an excellent DVD-ripper and iPad-manager, Xilisoft iPad Magic converts CD/DVD/ISO images/IFO folder to iPad format.

And lastly, there is another quirk to Xilisoft iPad Magic that I absolutely like. I can actually use this software for my iPhone and iPod!

Xilisoft iPad Magic works like iTunes, but definitely with more features and functions than iTunes!
